Professorship for Print Technologies and Applications

Starting on 1 March 2027

Salary Grade W3, No. SoSe2601P

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishment of an independent research line in the field of innovative printing technologies and applications, as well as the initiation and implementation of research projects.
  • Supervision of doctoral candidates.
  • Delivery of courses on fundamental and advanced topics in modern printing and packaging technologies in English.
  • Development of networks, acquisition of third-party funding, and establishment of technical laboratories.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in an engineering or natural sciences discipline, together with a completed doctorate (PhD or equivalent), and several years of relevant professional experience in a technical role.
  • A strong record of recent academic publications and active engagement in research within the relevant field.
  • Experience in university-level teaching is desirable.
  • A high level of motivation and personal commitment to teaching and applied research.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students, including participation in academic self-governance and the continued development of the university.
  • Excellent proficiency in German (minimum certified level B2) and English (minimum level C1), and be willing to deliver teaching in English.

The formal requirements for appointment as a professor are governed by § 47 of the Landeshochschulgesetz (LHG) and must be fulfilled. Subject to meeting the relevant civil service requirements, the successful candidate will initially be appointed as a probationary civil servant. Alternatively, an employment contract under public service regulations may be offered.
