The German Swiss International School (GSIS) is one of Hong Kong's leading international schools. Around 1,300 students from over 40 nations attend our school. In the German International Branch, we prepare our students for the German International Abitur. GSIS is a Swiss school abroad recognized by the Swiss Confederation and receives support for its educational and cultural work in accordance with Article 14 of the Swiss Schools Abroad Act.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated primary school teacher:

Your tasks

They teach primary school pupils and design differentiated and motivating lessons that support the individual learning processes of the children and promote their personal and academic development. Their tasks include, in particular:

• Planning and implementation of age-appropriate and methodologically diverse lessons

• Supporting students according to their individual abilities and learning needs

• Application of modern teaching and assessment methods

• Collaboration within the teaching staff and active participation in school activities

• Supporting students in their social and personal development

• Participation in the design of lessons and school activities related to Switzerland, as well as the integration of selected Swiss learning content into the international school context

Your profile

You have completed teacher training for primary school (Germany, Switzerland, or Austria) and ideally already have teaching experience at the primary level. Furthermore, you possess:

• sound professional and methodological expertise

• Knowledge of German or Swiss educational standards

• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written

Teamwork skills, intercultural sensitivity, and enjoyment of working in an international environment
