HEAD OF MUSIC (SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER WITH MINOR SUBJECT - GERMAN INTERNATIONAL STREAM)
The successful candidate is a highly motivated teacher who is committed to ensuring that each child fully exploits his or her individual potential. The successful candidate is expected to be up-to-date with current teaching and learning practices in terms of internally differentiated learning, different assessment modalities and feedback opportunities. Dynamic, open-minded and enthusiastic, she provides each student with learning opportunities that meet the children's needs, abilities and developmental level by designing lessons in such a way that each student has the opportunity to successfully reach his/her full potential.
The head of the Music Department works closely with the Music Student Council of the English branch to lead the school choir, the school orchestra and other ensembles and to organize concerts. Sound skills in conducting, arranging and rehearsal-related piano accompaniment are required. An overarching goal is to anchor and strengthen music in the students' lives.
What are we looking for
- Teacher training (Germany, Switzerland, Austria)
- Proven teaching experience in secondary school desirable
- High level of technical and methodological competence
- German as a mother tongue
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Cultural open-mindedness and willingness to cooperate
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
